My Before and After Story…
I became very entrepreneurial at a young age. My strong work ethic has meant I have never been without a job. Having grown up helping out in my parents’ businesses, I started working elsewhere at the age of 11 washing dishes before and after school. Coming from a working family environment meant I became very independent very quickly. In my early twenties, I founded several of my own businesses which were extremely successful through entrepreneurialism and marketing strategies with a continuous supply of clients and customers. A number of years ago, I was working in the corporate world as part of the Executive Management in a multi-million dollar business. I loved my job and to begin with, I was having so much fun, but before long, I ended up becoming almost obsessed, working VERY long hours, often working weekends, and had little or no free time to enjoy my family and friends. After a while, I was exhausted, wondering if it was all worth it, and even decided to give it all up. I made a job change to something that was very “cruisy”, but soon realized that this had no challenge and did not fill any passion for me. Around that time, I decided to set up a coaching practice as I wanted to work for myself again, be my own boss again, and have flexible hours to work. Concerned that I would need assistance to ensure the business was a success, I spent a large chunk of time, and tens of thousands of dollars continually attending seminars, trainings and kept adding more and more education to my portfolio. I had gained so much knowledge on how to make the sort of money I wanted but it was not meeting my needs at a soul level. I wanted to have a business that was authentic and gave me the freedom to spend time with my family, friends and to travel whenever I wanted to. So after doing even more research, re-connecting overseas and attending a number of workshops I finally found a mentor I could relate to and the business model that really worked for my business. I have since completely restructured my business, I have a clear sense of the true value of the services I offer, and my prices reflect this. I have found a clear niche in supporting other entrepreneurial service professionals and small business owners, who are struggling with similar things so that they can live their dreams. My unique collection of experiences and knowledge enables me to bring about profound changes to your way of thinking in relation to your success! I always knew my life purpose was to be a ‘teacher’. The more I spoke with people, and the more they saw my success, it became crystal clear very quickly that what I am meant to be doing are the things that I have always been good at from the beginning. Discovering the fortunes hidden in your passion, selling your services in a valued and authentic way, developing your marketing mindset. I can show you how to apply this system to your business so that you can build a wealth of time, money and freedom. Because that is what I enjoy now.
When I’m not coaching …
My husband, Murray, would ask “So when is she ever NOT coaching?” Murray and I both work out of our home, with an office based nearby. We have a home in the lovely south west of Western Australia that overlooks the Southern Ocean. Murray and I spend most of our time together. We spend much of it with our family and travelling this wonderful world. We often have meetings on our sundeck. Early mornings we usually head out for run or a bike ride. I love anything that is challenging, especially triathlons. We go out to dinner often with friends and family and love their company. Sitting looking at the amazing ocean is where we generally spend Sunday breakfast, and where I get lots of great ideas!
